We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Caseworker for Cultural Journeyz Program.
This program works with Aboriginal Children and Young People who require an Out of Home Care Placement. The program ensures the Safety, Welfare and Wellbeing of Aboriginal children and Young People within Cultural Journeyz Program.
The Cultural Journeyz program finds safe, supportive and culturally appropriate homes for Aboriginal Children and Young People with a focus on relative and kinship Carers.
About the Position
Muloobinba are seeking passionate and motivated Aboriginal people to join our team in supporting Aboriginal Children & Young People based at Cardiff NSW 2285.
Caseworker- Cultural Journeyz (OOHC) will provide Casework and Support as well as assist with identifying, establishing and supporting placements for Aboriginal Children and Young people in Out of Home Care and their Carer across the Hunter Region.
This position has the responsibility of Case Managing up to 13 Children and Young People.
This position is a Full-Time role (38 hours per week) and requires caseworker to participate in rostered after-hours on call to provide support when required.

Position Requirements:
Confirmation of Aboriginality
Working with Children Check Clearance
National Police Check
NSW Drivers License
Ability to participate in on-call Roster
COVID 19 Vaccination Certificate (2 doses)
Consent to be recorded on the Residential Careworker Register
You must identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander to apply under section 14D of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1977
This Position is classed as a Child Related Employment and is subject to relevant Employment Screening.
Remuneration
A remuneration salary package will be paid in accordance with the Social, Community, Homecare and Disability Services Industry Award ranging on commencement 83-85K plus Superannuation, leave loading and Salary sacrifice.
Salary is offered based on experience and qualification, however wages can be negotiated with the successful applicant.
