Welcome to Indigenous Job Match
By Mob, For Mob. Real Jobs. Real Change.
Who We Are
Indigenous Job Match is a 100% Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-owned platform dedicated to transforming how mob connect with meaningful employment.
We’re not just another job board. We are a cultural movement creating safe pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to find work, feel seen, and thrive in workplaces that value cultural identity, self-determination, and community knowledge.
Founded by Edward Solien — a proud Torres Strait Islander man with lived experience navigating the challenges of chronic illness, systemic barriers, and exclusion — Indigenous Job Match was born from a deep need to close the gap in employment outcomes and workplace belonging.
We don’t just talk reconciliation. We build it.
Why We Exist
We know the stats. We’ve lived the silence.
Too many of our mob are overlooked, undervalued, or pushed into workplaces that don’t know how to hold space for our stories, our strengths, or our sovereignty.
Indigenous Job Match exists because:
Representation matters — Our people deserve to see themselves reflected in leadership, decision-making, and workplace cultures.
Opportunity should be equitable — Not just available, but truly accessible.
Cultural safety isn’t optional — It’s a basic human right.
We work with employers who get it — or want to. From grassroots organisations to large corporates, we help them build the skills, systems, and accountability needed to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees the right way.
What We Do
Whether you’re looking for your next role or want to advertise positions in a culturally safe way, IJM offers:
A job board built for Blak excellence
Support for job seekers – from resume help to interview prep
Cultural advisory for employers – including policy reviews, yarning circles & Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging training
Connection to community – because our strength lies in who we walk with
Join Us
This is more than a job site. It’s a place where purpose meets power.
If you’re a job seeker – explore roles and register your profile.
If you’re an employer – let’s work together to build workplaces that honour culture, not just tick boxes.
Welcome to Indigenous Job Match. We’re glad you’re here.
Let’s do this – together, the Blakfulla way.
